Is Dollywood Fat Friendly? A Plus-Size Guide to Rides & Rollercoaster Weight Limits

In this post I will talk about Dollywood and how plus-size friendly each and every ride is and I will also cover Dollywood’s Splash Country as well. I start with the coasters, then thrill rides, then family and kiddie rides, and finally Splash Country. For reference, I am 5’6″ 295 and carry most of my weight in my stomach but some in my hips and thighs as well.

Is Dollywood Fat Friendly?

As mentioned in the video, this really depends since everyone has their own definition of plus-sized. There are test seats for a lot of the rides at Dollywood so you can see if the ride is compatible with your height and weight. Most of the rides don’t exactly have weight limits and it’s more about if we can fit in the seat properly.

I would say if you are over 300 pounds it’s likely that you won’t be able to get on many rides. I was pushing it so much on all of the rides and I’m just under 300 pounds. However, the rider safety guide suggests under 270 pounds.

Dollywood Weight Limits

You can find the weight limits for the rides in the Dollywood Accessibility Guide on page 7. This is an image of the weight and height guide.
