Beyond The Lens, located across from the Titanic Museum on the Parkway, offers guests a chance to enjoy “techno-tainment” — from a Bigfoot-themed shooting gallery, to games and interactive exhibits.
Flyride, which is at the marks a $12 million expansion to the site.
“We actually opened our first Flyride in 2020 in Branson, Missouri and it gets rave reviews, it was a game changer for us,” said Larry Foster, director of operations for the Pigeon Forge location of Beyond The Lens.
“The fully immersive experience includes special effects like mist, wind, scents, and of course full motion seats.”
The seats carry the riders to a four-story, 60-foot- wide IMAX screen.
The initial experience involves a trip across the nation, as riders can soar over landmarks like the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas Strip, and Mt. Rushmore, and be dropped into a whitewater rafting expedition.
They already have other experiences planned for different seasons as well.
Guests can choose to go through the existing Beyond The Lens attraction, or Flyride individually, or get a combo ticket for both.
It’s the first big expansion for Beyond The Lens since it opened in 2019, but they’re constantly working to add new exhibits or change things up so guests get a new experience on each visit, Foster said.
“We’ve expanded on our brand of techno-tainment, which is entertainment trough technology, so we have tons of virtual reality experiences,” he said.
“We’ve added Bigfoot themed shooting gallery, we’ve added a techno sports area, so we’ve added tons of exhibits.’ ”
