The newest addition to Dollywood Parks & Resorts is the $25 million Big Bear Mountain, nearly 4,000-foot. long roller coaster.

Guests will embark on an unforgettable expedition through the Smokey Mountains in search of the elusive “Big Bear.” Big Bear Mountain, at 3,990 feet becomes the longest roller coaster at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and marks the expansion of Dollywood’s newest area, Wildwood Grove.

In addition to becoming the longest roller coaster at Dollywood, Big Bear Mountain also marks the first attraction at the park to feature on-board audio. The sound system provides auditory thrills to match the ride’s dynamic movements as guests come daringly close to Big Bear.

“The Smokies are all about adventure and going exploring,” Dolly Parton said in a statement. “I’m excited our guests will be able to head out on their own trip into the Smokies to see if they can find that Big Bear.”
