So glad our cool front came through Monday afternoon. It feels so much better. Hopefully the warm temperatures and muggy air are behind us. Thankful for the short shower we had few minutes ago.

Another Nine-Day Trail Ride is in the books. Everyone from our area is home safely and getting things back to normal. From the pictures on Facebook, it looked like everyone had a great time.
Lora Jacobs had foot surgery and will be traveling around on her scooter for awhile. Thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy recovery.
I went back to the doctor Monday, and everything is going well. Still have to baby my arm for another month, not lifting anything heavier than a coffee mug and not pushing or pulling. That’s been hard to do. I’ve cheated a little by using it for simple things then realizing I shouldn’t have. So I need to follow the doctor’s directions a little closer. Several have commented, “Wonder where that hardheadedness has come from?” Came by it naturally.
Happy birthday wishes are sent to Opal Mescher, Jake Medley, Juscenda Hunerkoch, Kolten Smith, Beth Meinders, Heather Stratmeyer and a special 89th birthday wish to Bill Sommer.
New Hope had its Back to School Bash Sunday evening at the FLC and had a great turnout. All the kids enjoyed all the inflatables, games, cotton candy and so much more. Thanks to Ryan and Jennifer Travis for organizing the evening and all the volunteers who made the night a success.
Churches in our area are collecting items for the flood victims in eastern Kentucky. New Hope will be collecting any baby items, except no clothes. We will be collecting for the next few weeks. You can bring your items to church.
Brian, Georgie, Eva and Ivy Casey spent last week in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg before school started back. They enjoyed the Dixie Stampede, Dollywood and many more attractions there.
I’m reminding everyone if you have news that you would like for me to include in my article, just give me a text or holler. I do get information from Facebook, but sometimes I read it after the fact, but if I don’t write it down, I’ll forget by the time I send my article in.
