PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) – With a mission to give back to the community, Tuesday Ole Smoky Moonshine did just that with a huge check for a group that supports the youth of Sevier County.
Ole Smoky Moonshine presented the Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains with $60,000. The money was raised over the past year through the money customers pay to taste the products.

The business then matched those donations with one of their own to come up with the $60,000 donation.
“As part of that giving back is an important element that’s how we live our values. And so we launched just before re-stir, a fundraising campaign in our distilleries in Sevier County, we charge an extra $2 for a tasting,” said Robert Hall, CEO, Ole Smoky Moonshine. “They play a very important role in society, certainly helping children go to the Boys & Girls Club which in turn helps their parents go to work.”
Mark Ross, Executive Director of the club, said it’s donations like this that help them spread their mission and help as many kids as possible have a safe environment after school or during the summer.
“What we’re trying to do, our mission is to make productive responsible and caring citizens for the world. But the other part of our mission, is that we want to be there for those who need us most,” said Ross.
