PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Good morning! We’re waking up to rainfall across the area and will continue to see that through the day today.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The First Alert is all about the hassle Saturday. Rain impacts everyone: it’s a 100% rain forecast for the morning, a little earlier in the southwestern counties and a little later in the northeastern counties. These general rain showers clear by the lunch hour Saturday.
There are a few barriers to afternoon and evening storms. The amount of thunderstorms between 5:00-10:00 P.M. is still not in consensus with our toolkit. Just have backup plans or the ability to stay dry in that time window. We are right there with you on wanting to enjoy the day’s outdoor events.
Because of the sluggish nature of this storm type – the trailing upper low – showers and drizzle will probably linger through dawn Sunday. This is the much drier of the two days, though.
Sunshine is back from Monday through Wednesday, along with some of the warmest weather of 2021. Monday is penned in for 76, while Tuesday is a sunny and humid 83. Storms are still coming our way next week, but they are more delayed. Rain and thunder is more likely Friday, instead of Thursday.
