The Tennessee Tornado is a steel looping roller coaster built by Arrow Dynamics in 1999. The coaster utilizes the mountainous the terrain of the area to lift riders up the mountain before plunging them 110 feet down through a tunnel then sending riders through a fury of inversions and overbanking turns.
As the story goes, a powerful tornado swept through the area of a mine and pulled a train of mine cars (the coaster’s train) out of the mine shaft and is twirling them about in the air as your ride along.
