The Lincoln County High School band and Lincoln County Combined Middle School band won first place in their class in the Music in The Parks Festival this recently in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The high school band also won first place overall in the high school division.

The middle school band included Flintville, Highland Rim, South Lincoln, and Unity students. The bands performed Friday night at Cattletsburg Elementary School where they were judged on their performance.
The students then had a fun-filled day in the Dollywood theme park on Saturday where the award ceremony was held that evening. The band directors are Wesley Brockman, Elyssa Clayton, Chase Hampton, Hannah Graves, and Mike Mynatt.
