TSSAA state championships: Vols’ baseball commits’ results

Tennessee baseball commitments competed at the TSSAA state championships Tuesday.

Catholic High School (Knoxville, Tennessee) defeated Lipscomb Academy, 3-0, in the Division II-AA semifinals.

Junior Daniel Parris pitched a three-hit shutout for the Irish. He recorded 10 strikeouts in seven innings.

Catholic (26-12) will play McCallie High School Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. EDT.

In Division I Class AA, Pigeon Forge High School defeated White House Heritage, 8-6.

Dylan Loy, a junior for the Tigers, went 0-for-4 and scored two runs.

In Division I Class AAAA, Farragut High School had its game against Hendersonville suspended. It will resume Wednesday at 11 a.m. EDT.

Brennon Seigler, was 1-for-1 for the Admirals, who trailed, 3-2 when the game was halted.
