The Island in Pigeon Forge relocates New Year’s Eve celebration

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Island in Pigeon forge plans to relocate its New Year’s Eve Celebration to the Pigeon Forge Municipal Parking Lot.

The change in venue will provide additional room to allow all guests to ring in the New Year while following social distancing guidelines.

The lineup for the event includes Jackie Lee, Jed Wyatt and Free Daps. The gates open at 8 p.m. and performances will begin shortly after 9 p.m.

Temperature checks will be provided for all guests attending the event and all guests are encouraged to wear a mask. Guests are allowed to bring their own lawn chairs.

Large screens will allow guests to spread out and enjoy the event from a greater distance. Food trucks will also be available throughout the space.

The Island partnered with WIVK and WVLT to simulcast the Island’s New Year’s Eve Celebration. Guests can enjoy the show by tuning into 107.7 FM beginning at 11:45 p.m. From home, viewers can enjoy a live broadcast of the event on the CW-Knoxville beginning at 11 p.m.
