Yes, we knew Pigeon Forge was the home of Dollywood – so probably filled with lots of tourists. We didn’t realize that Pigeon Forge is essentially the Myrtle Beach of the mountains! An endless amount of rides, restaurants, and entertainment. Our RV park was in the middle of it all so we took our competitive selfs to the go-kart track!
GSMNP is our 7th National Park since starting this RV journey. With over 12 million visitors last year it is the most visited NP in the system. Obviously we couldn’t see it all, but we did take on the Rainbow Falls hike which was over 5 miles and 1600 ft of elevation gain. Totally worth the effort as the payoff is a 90 ft waterfall. Maybe the coolest part of that day was seeing 7 bears! 🐻
